Annan Athletic striker comes off the bench to net last gasp winner against Edinburgh City

Comeback striker Tommy Goss thumped home a last minute header to clinch Annan’s first league win of the season in a sensational finish.

He was brought on from the bench at the interval and after coming close on a couple of occasions he met a perfect cross by Josh Dixon to power a header back across goal and into the left side of the net to spark wild celebrations at Galabank and cap a terrific fightback from two goals down.

“Josh Dixon crossed for me and I thought he was brilliant.

“He was everywhere and gives you that every week and works his socks off.”

He added: “I have started a new job in Dumfries with S&C Plastering, the boss is Stewart Venner and his son Cohen is one of my biggest fans. They come to the games which is good.”

The Galabankies had a poor start when City’s Kieran Offord pounced on a rebound inside the penalty box to crack a low shot past keeper Greg Fleming from 12 yards for the opener.

And Innes Murray made it 2-0 to the visitors in 33 minutes with a volley in off the base of the right post.

But the Black and Golds hit back before
