Rangers squad revealed for Hoffenheim as 3 stars in the mix for attacking shake up but Danilo question remains

It was a disappointing night for many Rangers fans as they watched Michael Beale's revamped side produce a disjointed performance against Olympiacos.

And with the start of the Scottish Premiership campaign just days away and the start of the Light Blues Champions League campaign just around the corner supporters will want to see an improvement against Hoffenheim. They finished 12th in the German top flight last season but won't be any pushovers as Beale looks to get the attacking formula right after a summer signing spree.

Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Abdallah Sima led the line against the Greek side in midweek but that could change after the trio struggled to carve out clear-cut chances in Govan. The likes of Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala and Tom Lawrence will be desperate to prove they can make the grade as a new era was ushered in at Ibrox this summer.

Danilo has also finally arrived from Feyenoord and was officially unveiled at Ibrox on Friday. He has a full pre-season under his belt with the Dutch champions, so could jet in to make his debut if Beale gives the green light. An appearance off the bench could be the most likely scenario.

Defensively there could be changes as well. Ridvan Yilmaz and Jack Butland will be keen to return after dropping to the bench in midweek.
