Rangers squad revealed as 4 stars throw the gauntlet down to replace Danilo as Clement's main striker

Another week, another pair of injury blows for Rangers but Philippe Clement is focused on what he has rather than what he doesn't.

The Ibrox side host Dundee this afternoon but just as things were beginning to ease up, they've been set back with starting striker Danilo and resurgent midfield force Tom Lawrence out for the rest of the year. Boss Clement refused to dwell too much on it but his frustration was imminent as he has two more puzzles to solve...particularly the conundrum up front.

Speaking after the Hearts clash that cost him two of his top men, Clement said: "Tom Lawrence will be out until the winter break. Danilo will also be out, a problem with his knee after a tackle during the game. There may be a chance of surgery.

"Our focus is now on the guys who are fit for big matches coming up in the next few weeks. We are creating chances, and keeping clean sheets. The team is taking big steps. A lot of work from everyone. The team is in a good way to improve and become better.

"It's now on others to show they are ready. Kemar (Roofe) is coming back from an injury also so we need to take that into account and just throw him back into the pitch. Scott Wright and Ryan Jack will also miss out tomorrow."

So that's the verdict from Clement and Danilo's absence means Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Kemar Roofe are all jostling for position while Abdallah Sima, regularly scoring goals from a wide position, could also be an option...though the boss appeared to rule that out last night.

Meanwhile could Lawrence and Jack's absence mean Todd Cantwell returns to the deeper midfield role he was so influential from against St Johnstone?
