Humourless Celtic fans mercilessly trolled on Hotline but Rangers warned joke's on them over premature celebrations

From receiving a chorus of boos at Parkhead to being cheered to the Club Deck rafters at Ibrox, it’s been an up and down week for Santa Claus in Glasgow.

And Rangers boss Philippe Clement must be able to relate to old Saint Nick having seen some of the shine taken off his team’s momentous achievements over the past seven days by the Light Blues’ never ending injury woes.

John Lundstram has become the latest addition to the casualty list after being wiped out by St Johnstone’s Diallang Jaiyesimi on Wednesday night. But Eddie Easson, Fife, didn’t have much sympathy as he said: “Philippe Clement has a cheek moaning about Lundstram’s injury. A well known phrase springs to mind, ‘Live by the sword, die by the sword’. Lundstram has taken more players out than any other in Scotland.”

Davie Kidd called to say: “I’ve never known a club to have had such bad luck with injuries as this Rangers team. With Nico Raskin, Ryan Jack, Jose Cifuentes, Tom Lawrence and now Lundstram out, they are in real danger of running out of midfielders."

But John Davidson, Kirkintilloch, is trying to stay positive: “The change in the squad under the magician is amazing.
