Rangers Europa League squad revealed as Kieran Dowell excluded alongside another summer arrival
It's taken its time in coming but Rangers' squad for the Europa League is finally out – and there's been no room for Kieran Dowell or Ridvan Yilmaz.
The Ibrox side have Real Betis, Aris Limassol and Sparta Prague to contend with having dropped out of the Champions League to PSV. Having made the final of this competition in 2022, Rangers fans will have that heartache in Seville fresh in the memory, but the hazy days of those nights under the lights at Ibrox provided some exhilarating moments Beale will want to recreate.
The manager has named his squad and the bulk of his new signings, such as Danilo and Cyriel Dessers, make the cut. But injured Dowell is out, as is fellow summer arrival Leon Balogun. Yilmaz also hasn't made the grade but Scott Wright, who was in Turkey ready to seal an exit, is back in the fold and poised to feature in the club’s Europa League adventure. Record Sport has all the details of the full squad.
