We may be in the international break but the Glasgow rivalry doesn’t take a week off – and now it’s TrainingGate that’s got them bickering. The England squad using Rangers’ HQ to warm up for Hampden didn’t go down well with Celtic fans. But Gers punters hit back and Gary Ferguson, Ayr, said: “Caller Henry Moffat showing his bitterness about England training at the only five-star training facility in Scotland, the England team are used to top-class facilities at their own base and it's only right we should look after out neighbours.”

Dr Robert S Pender, via email, said: “There is no problem letting England use the Rangers training complex. It’s purely commercial and makes sense. Those who criticise should take a good look at the Irish flag flying at their matches. Rangers will always be loyal to country and UK.”

John Henderson, Neilson, said: “The comments regarding Rangers offering their training facilities to England are nothing but anti-Rangers. This 'friendly' match between the two is to celebrate 150 years of rivalry which is something everyone looks forward to, all in name of the game of sport. If anyone should be embarrassed it should be the likes of Mr Moffat by his stupid comments.”

Steve Clarke has plenty of men doing the business for Scotland but the prospect of a coupe of Anglos coming on board in Elliot Anderson and Harvey Barnes has sparked debate.
