Rangers squad revealed as 8 missing men leave Michale Beale searching for Aberdeen wildcard to implement Ibrox experiment
The injury problems are mounting for Michael Beale but Rangers must keep grinding out results with pressure mounting on the Rangers.
A convincing win over Livingston to reach the Viaplay Cup semi-final in midweek eased some of the mounting tensions but Aberdeen will comes to Ibrox full of confidence after some big performances of their own in recent weeks. After a positive start to the campaign Beale confirmed that the forward is "away for a scan" and will miss the clash with the Dons. He joins Rabbi Matondo and Tom Lawrence on the sidelines, with the Premiership clash coming too soon for Todd Cantwell and Danilo.
Nico Raskin is rehabbing the knock picked up while on international duty, while Kieran Dowell has returned to training - but it looks unlikely either will play any part in the clash. Scott Wright made his return to fitness off the bench against the Lions after an injury scare against Motherwell in the Light Blues last league outing. Bailey Rice has also been talked up and could be a wildcard in a makeshift midfielder.
Ridvan Yilmaz was back in action and scored against David Martindale's men, but limped off during the clash. Could Borna Barisic be drafted into the XI once again?
