Rangers announce friendly with Champions League side as Clement's men face bumper week with 3 games in 8 days

Rangers will use a break in the mayhem of the Scottish Premiership fixture list to take on Champions League side Copenhagen.

The Light Blues are racing towards the end of 2023 with the Belgian still undefeated in domestic action with a tantalising title tussle to come with Celtic on December 30 to close out the calendar year. Another clash in the new year with Kilmarnock on January 2 then kicks off a few weeks break before Rangers take themselves to Dumbarton for a fourth round clash in the Scottish Cup on January 20 before facing Hibs four days later at Easter Road in a midweek clash.

And now Clement's men will prepare for their cup clash by facing the Danish outfit that includes former Celtic star Moi Elyounoussi. The game is set to take place 8pm on Tuesday, January 16. It comes after the winter break for the Belgian to get his squad some respite, but no doubt transfer business will be the talk of the town.

Copenhagen, managed by Jacob Neestrup, finish their season with a Danish cup double against Silkeborg next week before they hope to reach the next round of the Champions League with a final group game against Galatasaray.
