Rail lines closed after person hit by a train at Pye Corner, Newport - updates

All rail lines between Cardiff and Ebbw Vale have been closed after a person was hit by a train on Thursday morning. Transport for Wales says lines are currently blocked after a person was hit by a train at Pye Corner earlier this morning.

National Rail said trains may be cancelled or diverted until approximately 09:45 as all lines are currently closed due to the incident. Replacement road transport is being sourced and ticket acceptance has been arranged with Stagecoach to accept rail tickets between Cardiff Central and Ebbw Vale Town.
