Wales v New Zealand team announcements Live as Wayne Pivac names side for autumn opener

Wales and New Zealand both name their teams today as Saturday's autumn encounter at the Principality Stadium draws closer.

Injuries have been a concern for Wales in the build-up to their opening autumn fixture and it will become clear just how much they have taken their toll when the team is named this afternoon. The likes of Taulupe Faletau, George North, Josh Adams, Gareth Anscombe and Alex Cuthbert have all carried injuries into camp and it remains to be seen who will be fit to start on Saturday.

Anscombe is largely expected to start at fly-half in the absence of Dan Biggar if deemed fit, while Leigh Halfpenny is in line for a first Welsh start since last summer's opening match against Canada in Cardiff. The back-row could be a tricky selection, given the form of Dan Lydiate and Tommy Reffell in the summer and how that determines where new captain Justin Tipuric fits in ahead of his long-awaited return to Test rugby.

Pivac has only faced his home country once before as Wales coach. He kicked off the autumn campaign last year with a 54-16 defeat to Ian Foster's side, although he was without his England-based players for the Test outside the official international window.

Ian Foster will go first and name his All Blacks team at 11.30am , with Pivac following suit at 12.30pm . You can follow all the build-up, live updates and press conference news throughout the day right here.
