Another coach bites the dust: Maritzburg announce John Maduka dismissal
Maritzburg United have announced that they have parted ways with head coach John Maduka with immediate effect.
Following a string of poor results, Maritzburg find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table in 16th place, with the latest 2-0 defeat against Golden Arrows being the final nail in the coffin for Maduka.
"MUFC can confirm that Head Coach John Maduka has left the club with immediate effect," read a club statement.
"The Club have also terminated the contracts of Maduka's entire backroom staff. We would like to thank John and his technical team for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
"The process of identifying and appointing a New Head is underway and the club will make an announcement in due course."

After joining The Team of Choice at the beginning of the season, Maduka had an underwhelming start, achieving a solidarity victory in the first five games.
With the month long FIFA break upon us, the club will have plenty of time to find a worthy successor.
Maduka joins former Sekhukhune United coach Kaitano Tembo who was shown the door earlier this week.
