Predicted Celtic XI as clues over Hatate, Iwata, Abada and Holm emerge ahead of crunch Dens Park clash

It's Boxing Day and Celtic are aiming to wrap up 2023 in style against Dundee and title rivals Rangers.

A win over Livingston on Saturday got the champions rocking again after consecutive Premiership defeats. And now Brendan Rodgers is seeking a definitive ending to the calendar year amid recent tribulations. Celtic have Odin Thiago Holm back in contention following illness. Tomoki Iwata is still out while Liel Abada (thigh) and Reo Hatate (hamstring) are in the latter stages of their rehab.

Meanwhile the visitors have a clutch of players fighting for game time. Lee Ashcroft Marcel Lewis and Diego Pineda are pushing for returns for Dundee. Owen Beck has been struggling with a groin issue but is expected to make the game. Antonio Portales is out until after the winter break with a hamstring injury.
