Marco Tilio in quickfire Celtic transfer exit hint as forgotten summer recruit gets honest over 'tough' spell

Forgotten Celtic man Marco Tilio has hinted that his future could be away from the club after just six months having failed to make his mark in Glasgow's east end.

Celtic splashed out £1.5million to land the winger from Melbourne City this summer, where he won three A-League titles in a row. But his move to Glasgow has not gone well so far and he's played just 28 minutes for the Hoops in substitute appearances against Motherwell and Hibs. Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers admitted earlier this month that he wasn't in his plans for now - but that didn't deter Australia boss Graham Arnold.

He still showed his faith in the attacker and called him up for the Asian Cup. But Tilio has now conceded that it has been a tough spell since leaving behind the A-League last summer for the Scottish Premiership and Record Sport understands there are offers on the table to take the outcast on loan.

The 22-year-old told AAP: "Of course from the outside it's been tough. I obviously went to the club with an injury. But I've been back for four months now fully training, fully fit. I probably feel physically better than what I've ever been in my career. So I feel really good and I'm just raring to go, ready to play and hopefully this tournament's a chance for me to do that."

While discussing his future, Tilio said: "I think it's only improved me as a player being in and around that every day. But overall, I'd like to get more game time and whatever that looks like, we'll see what happens."
