Police say shooting at house was 'targeted attack' - latest updates

Specialist police officers and search units are in north Manchester this afternoon following reports of a shooting.

Tactical Aid Unit officers and search vehicles have been pictured on Fernclough Road in Harpurhey. A house is also reportedly taped off on nearby Rochdale Road.

The Manchester Evening News understands that police were called to reports of a shooting last night (Sunday). No details have been confirmed by the force at this stage, though a statement will be released later.

Officers remain on the scene this afternoon.
