'Police incident' closes road

A road in Pyle was closed in both directions due to a 'police incident'. South Wales Police asked people to avoid the area on Wednesday afternoon. In a post on social media the force said: "We are at the scene of an incident on Park Street, Kenfig Hill.

"The road is currently closed in both directions. It is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area." It appears the road is now re-open, according to residents.

Traffic maps show there was some heavy traffic in the area. South Wales Police and Wales Ambulance Service have been approached for comment on the nature of the incident.
