LIVE: Major Manchester road shut off after serious crash 'involving police car' - updates
A major road has reportedly been shut in Manchester following a serious crash involving a police car.
Wilbraham Road has been shut off in Chorlton this evening (January 3). Traffic services show that a large stretch of the road has been closed at its junction with Morville Road following what appears to be a serious crash.
Photos sent to the Manchester Evening News show a police car and at least two other vehicles has been damaged in the collision. It is not clear if anyone has been injured but emergency services, including fire and rescue officers, are at the scene.

One witness told the Manchester Evening News that it appeared to be a 'serious crash' and the scene was 'chaos'. GMP have been contacted for a statement.

There are no serious injuries after the crash involving a police car and another car this evening.
No ambulance was required at the scene, but a police officer has gone to hospital wiuth a minor injury.
The collision happened at around 5.30pm tonight.
In a post on X - formerly Twitter - one person has said: "Wibraham Road closed by the Morville Road junction. Recovery underway right now."
