Philippe Clement's Rangers ramblings has Hotline fearing Beale sequel as Celtic cook to leave fans smelling a Quadruple

The pre-season friendlies are done and dusted as we countdown to the big Scottish Premiership kick-off.

Rangers are hardly shipshape heading in to their opener against Hearts, with players leaving, wanting to leave and further signings not exactly forming a queue to batter down the door at Ibrox amid underwhelming friendly displays. Those who have been signed so far haven't reassured anxious Bears that Philippe Clement's summer rebuild is what they hoped it would be, with some fearing it's a Michael Beale build in disguise based on the evidence so far.

Gordon Hendry, Ochiltree, lamented: "Having watched Rangers’ pre-Season friendlies I can only say as a Rangers fan I am now getting a bit concerned. Whilst Jack Butland continues to show us he should be benched it would appear our recruitment team has taken a leaf out of the Beale book. Jefte looks a dreadful signing, the big lad from Atalanta should go back out on loan to Auchinleck Talbot and our manager is beginning to ramble, whilst players like Cantwell want out. If things continue like this we will be lucky to be in the top three of the league never mind win it.
