Fearful Ally McCoist in heartbreaking Rangers confession as Philippe Clement told result that is absolutely essential

Ally McCoist says it 'breaks his heart' to admit it - but he can’t see anything other than a Celtic Scottish Premiership stroll this season.

But they already trail the Hoops, who they face at Parkhead on September 1, by a couple of points with Brendan Rodgers’ side in ominous form after six goals without reply in their perfect start to their title defence. Celtic are still expected to further strengthen in the transfer market and McCoist reckons everything points to them continuing their dominance of Scottish football.

McCoist was asked by talkSPORT host and fellow Scot Jim White if there was any other potential outcome in the Scottish Premiership this season than “Celtic going on to romp it” and McCoist said: “It certainly looks that way. It’s absolutely vital for Rangers to get something, a result against Dynamo Kyiv, to give them the opportunity to get into the Champions League. But at this moment in time, it breaks my heart saying it obviously, you can't see other than that.”

White continued: “It’s a huge job for Philippe Clement, he knows what he’s got himself into.
