Philippe Clement reveals Rangers 'bad situation' with 4 wingers missing Benfica but boss vows to go for win

Philippe Clement admits Rangers need to find a solution to the 'bad situation' they face ahead of their battle with Benfica.

The Light Blues have jetted out to Portugal as they resume their Europa League journey with a clash against the Portuguese giants tomorrow night. It is the first meeting between the pair, with the return leg taking place at Ibrox next week to decide who will progress to the quarter finals. Benfica come into this one in some turmoil after a 5-0 hammering by Porto at the weekend, while Rangers also suffered a shock home loss to Motherwell - but they remain two clear at the league summit after Celtic's defeat 24 hours later at Hearts.

Belgian boss Clement insists his side have landed in Lisbon looking to win. He does not believe in parking the bus and will always look to attack. The Ibrox gaffer does concede he will be without FOUR wingers tomorrow while Ross McCausland faces a late shout for his involvement. It means his side will be missing a number of offensive options but he insists it is up to him to find a solution whether that is tweaking the system or playing players slightly out of position.

Speaking to the media ahead of the last 16 first leg showdown, Clement said: "We miss four wingers tomorrow, Ross [McCausland] maybe also - he did individual work and we will see tomorrow if he can get any minutes. That is a bad situation, we are missing a lot of offensive quality - we need to find a solution.

"We have a decision to either change the system or play players in a position they are not used to. We come to win, I never play to get a draw. I don't believe in parking the bus and only defending, I have never done that. Even against PSG and in Madrid I have attacked.
