Philippe Clement predicts frantic Rangers transfer finale as fans told get ready for LAST SECOND drama

Philippe Clement is predicting a frantic end to the transfer window for Rangers as he ramps up his bid to strengthen his team after watching the Light Blues grind out a 1-0 win over St Mirren in testing conditions in Paisley.

The Belgian reckons there will be plenty of activity going both ways in the final days right up until the “last second” before the window closes. Mohamed Diomande was announced on Friday and Brazilian full back Jefte is expected to arrive from Fluminense. Clement insists he is working closely with director of football recruitment Nils Koppen, chief executive James Bisgrove and chairman John Bennett.

After watching Cyriel Dessers net his 12th goal of the season and his third on the trot to earn a big three points in Paisley Clement was asked on Sky Sports if he expects to be busy with ins and outs in the final days of the window. And he said: “Yes because that’s my job and the job of every manager so we will be busy until the last second probably. It’s not just about me an Nils. It’s with a lot of people in the building. We make decisions together and work together. That was one of the reasons I came to Rangers - it’s really transparent and open. Everyone has their opinion and we say things behind closed doors and go out with one opinion.”
