Philippe Clement craves relentless Rangers MACHINE as Ibrox boss reveals Hampden hero is major Sparta Prague doubt

Philippe Clement wants to create a Rangers “machine” as he revealed Hampden hero Scott Wright is a major injury doubt for Thursday’s Europa League showdown against Sparta Prague at Ibrox.

Wright climbed off the bench at the National Stadium to help inspire the Ibrox side to a stunning second half as they swatted Hearts aside to reach the Viaplay Cup final against Aberdeen next month. But the ex Dons man picked up an injury late on and could miss the tie against the Czechs.

Nico Raskin and John Souttar are both out of the Group C clash while Kemar Roofe could feature for a brief period. Rabbi Matondo is back in training but not fit enough to play. Clement is unbeaten since succeeding Michael Beale but knows it’s too early to judge what his team is capable of.

The Belgian said: “We have had a couple of good games and victories but it is too early to judge. This is just the start. A good team has to do this for months. I want us to be brave and aggressive every game. I want to create a machine who goes every time. I always want to win, I want a team that always wants to win. We will play to get the three points. Sparta are a good team, good technically and with a good structure. It’s a team and a coach with a lot of ambition. We have to be at our highest level.
