People asked to avoid part of Cardiff Bay as emergency services respond to chemical leak
Three people were taken to hospital as emergency services attended the scene of a chemical leak in Cardiff Bay.
Police and fire services attended a chemical leak at Queen Alexandra Dock in Cardiff Docks which was of a gas, understood to have been ammonia.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police were called to reports of a chemical leak on Queen Alexandra Dock, Butetown. The fire service have dealt with the incident. Three people have been taken to hospital as a precaution.
"Please avoid the area and keep windows and doors shut if you are in the Queen Alexandra Docks area. Please do not contact our control room in relation this incident."
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service asked people living nearby to shut their doors and windows in the area of the docks.
