Man arrested for assault after emergency services scrambled to street

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after emergency services were called to a street in Bolton.

Police officers and firefighters were called to the scene on Hesketh Walk in Farnworth last night (Thursday). Several tactical aid unit vehicles were also spotted at the scene.

Greater Manchester Police said today that a man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm. He remains in custody for questioning.

No further details have been given on who was injured or what the extent of their injuries were. A statement from the force said: "A man was arrested for assault causing actual bodily harm. He still remains in custody at the moment."

The Manchester Evening News also contacted the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for a comment.
