Organisers behind popular Greater Manchester festival forced to postpone 2025 event
The organisers behind a popular Manchester music festival in Manchester have made a big announcement about this year’s event.
You Are Not Alone Festival (YANA), which has been hailed as one of the most affordable music festivals across the city-region, has been running since 2019 and usually takes place over a number of venues in the Northern Quarter.
Last held in 2022 when the festival took place across eight different venues in the city centre with more than 70 artists, the event donates all profits to mental health charity Mind with tickets starting from just £10. Having been set to return next month, this year's line-up included Denver County Council, Dirty Laces, Dr Dr, Uno Mas, and The Wears.
For the 2025 festival, organisers had previously announced that the festival would be taking place entirely across Stockport town centre as opposed to the city centre. But organisers have said they have now had to postpone the show due to a number of reasons.
Originally due to be held on March 2, the date for this year’s festival is now up in the air as four stages ‘of fairly big capacities’ are no longer available for them to use for the event. Amongst these is the upcoming revamped The Underbank, which is due to take over beloved Underbanks music and events space The Syndikat.
Festival organiser Benji Taylor, who is also a co-owner of the upcoming revamped venue, said the space will not be open in time for the event, whilst Blackbird Brewhouse and AMP - which had both been due to host stages - have sadly closed their doors since last year’s event.
Posting on Instagram, the festival wrote: "I'm the bearer of disappointing news I'm afraid. The festival date is moving. We've lost 4 stages, of fairly big capacities, leaving us
