Emergency services have spent hours on a Stockport street where a devastating house fire broke out overnight.

Police and firefighters remain in attendance on Bradfield Close, off Station Road in Reddish, following a blaze in the early hours of the morning.

New images show a property completely gutted by the fire. The flames were extinguished at around 2am, but crews have continued working at the scene.

Firefighters were sent out to the scene at 12.30am on Tuesday morning (March 4) as a fire raged and spread to a neighbouring property.

Eight fire engines from across Greater Manchester, plus specialist units, were dispatched. Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service were also seen in attendance.

No one was rescued from the property by fire crews at the time of the blaze.

Images from the early hours show flames soaring from a house on Bradfield Close, while thick smoke billowed from the property as crews tackled the flames.

A cordon was in place surrounding the property as emergency services worked at the scene. The fire has since been tackled, but crews remain in attendance.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At around half past midnight today, (Tuesday, March 4), firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a residential property on Bradfield Close in Stockport.
