Next Man United transfer agreed as Jadon Sancho set for 'talks' after Chelsea discover issue

Burnley have agreed a deal to sign Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United on a permanent transfer. The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla, but struggled having played just six matches before returning to Old Trafford earlier this summer.

The Manchester Evening News reported last week that United wanted to sell Hannibal while Burnley preferred a loan with an obligation to buy. Talks between the clubs went smoothly and it's understood the Tunisian completed his medical to move to Turf Moor on a permanent transfer on Monday, with the transfer set to be confirmed in the near future.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is set for talks with Juventus over a late window move. Chelsea have been linked amid claims that a swap deal with Raheem Sterling on the cards. But while Sterling is said to be open to the move, Chelsea are baulking at Sancho's wages.

Sancho is thought to be on around £300,000-a-week, as per the Daily Mail, which is lower than Sterling's reported package but the Blues are keen to try and lower their wage bill. And so Sancho's demands are seen as off-putting. Sancho, who has been left out of the United squad for their opening two Premier League matches, is expected to be allowed to leave the club before the end of the transfer window.

Elsewhere, the Manchester Evening News understands that Scott McTominay is indeed edging towards an exit to Napoli but a fee is yet to be agreed. United wish to hold out for £25m for the midfielder, and it is thought that a deal will get over the line soon.
