Moses Ebiye set for Motherwell transfer as Stuart Kettlewell bolsters attack for top six fight

Motherwell are closing in on a deal for Nigerian attacker Moses Ebiye.

The 26-year-old is a free agent after leaving Norwegian side Aalesund in January. Ebiye has been training at Fir Park and impressed boss Stuart Kettlewell. He is set to be handed a long-term deal. The Steelman, fresh from their weekend win over Rangers, are now in the fight for the top six.

Ebiye would enhance his frontline options as he can play through the middle or on either flank. The frontman has played the majority of his football in Norway. Prior to his spell at Aalesund, he has also turned out for Tromso, HamKam and Lillestrom. Ebiye would add to Kettlewell’s frontline options. This week’s break will give the new boy time to get up to speed. Theo Bair has emerged as Motherwell’s main striker this season. Well also have Jack Vale, who has impressed on-loan from Blackburn Rovers, Oli Shaw and Jon Obika.
