Met Office says where and when snow will fall in UK as Storm Éowyn 'blizzard' to hit

As Storm Éowyn sweeps in on the early hours of Friday morning parts of the country are expected to see snow with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning.

On Friday, a yellow weather warnings for strong winds have been issued which cover most of the UK, along with one rare amber alert covering northern England including parts of Greater Manchester.

The latest Met Office maps show parts of Scotland are predicted to see some snow from noon today, especially in the Highlands around Strathyre, Loch Rannoch and Fort William.
