Met Office issues more snow and ice warnings for Greater Manchester

Warnings have been issued over possible disruption with snow set to fall on Greater Manchester this week. Arctic winds are beginning to sweep in over the UK bringing with them a severe cold snap.

The Met Office says parts of northern Scotland could see around 10cm of snow over the next two days. Northern Ireland could also see up to 5cm of snow on higher ground on Monday, with a yellow warning in place from 3am until the end of the day.

Their most up-to-date forecast for central Manchester on Tuesday says there is a 80 percent chance of 'heavy snow' from around 6am followed by a 60pc chance of 'light snow' from around 9am.
