MasterChef viewers 'mind-blown' after realising hidden detail in show's logo

Celebrity MasterChef is back in action - as a new cohort of stars put their culinary skills to the test.

The latest instalment of the beloved show aired on August 13, and is now on its third Heat week. Reality TV star Charlotte Crosby, model Christine McGuinness, TV presenter Craig Doyle and soap icon Danielle Harold are just some of the contestants fighting for the judge's approval.

In just three weeks, we've witnessed tantrums of pastries and tense teammates cooking up a storm - as they all compete for the champion title.

Despite its long-standing popularity, it seems many viewers are only just clocking onto the show's logo.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one baffled user wrote: "I [have] literally just realised the MasterChef logo is shaped like a hob and it's blown my mind." Another gushed: "Oh my God, how I had I never notice this either?" while a third simply added: "[Sic] it's a hob ring. My mind is blown."

However, food snobs quickly pointed out one small error of having the swirl of an electric hob around the letter 'm' as the show's logo. "I am always unreasonably annoyed about how the MasterChef logo is based on an electric hob when real chefs use gas hobs," one user fumed.

Another agreed, writing: "Why is the MasterChef logo an electric hob when no actual 'MasterChef' would ever dream of cooking on an electric hob?" to which one person replied: "Well quite... I have thought this for years."

Celebrity MasterChef continues on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday, 29th August for the quarter finals. You can catch up on previous episodes on BBC iPlayer.
