E4 Married at First Sight UK viewers say same thing minutes into 2024 series

Married at First Sight UK fans have hailed the opening episode of the 2024 series as the "best episode" ever seen on the E4 dating series.

The show made a highly-anticipated comeback on our screens last Monday (September 16), witnessing 16 singles daringly tying the knot with partners they've never met before.

The evening was stolen by one particular groom, who provoked a mixture of shock and laughter with a daring prank alongside a bawdy serenade dedicated to his bride, which he performed in front of their friends and family.

Matchmaking pros Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas set East Sussex dog walker Kristina Goodsell, 31, up with mechanic Kieran Chapman, 28, from Newcastle. Before exchanging vows, Kieran revealed his waggish side by sporting joke teeth as Kristina made her entrance.

Initially, Kristina did not seem amused, leading Kieran to second-guess his joke and swiftly remove the teeth. Their bond soon strengthened, however, culminating in fits of laughter from Kristina, reports the Mirror.

But the high jinks didn't cease at the altar, Kieran had yet another caper for the reception. Amidst mingling with each other's nearest and dearest, Kieran brought out his keyboard, confessing he'd composed a tune for his new spouse an ill-mannered ditty featuring lines like "s****ing on my chest".

Fortunately for him, Kristina found the impromptu performance entertaining rather than off-putting, but Kieran's antics visibly dismayed his mother.

Viewers at home were quick to hit social media with their thoughts, branding the first episode as the 'funniest' they've seen.
