Marcus Rashford Man United transfer in doubt as major medical update given

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford's potential move to AC Milan is set for a further blow as the Serie A side plan for the arrival of England defender Kyle Walker.

The United academy graduate is expected to leave the Theatre of Dreams this move after finding it increasingly difficult to break into the matchday squad under new head coach Ruben Amorim. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a former teammate of the 27-year-old, has spoken publicly about a possible switch to the Italian giants - but the Swedish icon has also discussed the prospect of Walker arriving at the San Siro.

According to Fabrizio Romano, preparations are already underway at Milan for Walker to make the switch from the Premier League. The Italian reporter has claimed that medical and formal steps for the deal will continue between Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Serie A legislation states that a club may only sign two non-EU players every season, and Milan have already done that with the summer arrivals of Strahinja Pavlovic and Emerson Royal, from Tottenham Hotspur.
