Casemiro Manchester United transfer exit takes new twist as fresh path emerges
Casemiro continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United, with another club apparently joining the race for his signature.
United have until next Monday to complete their transfer business before the January window slams shut. Ruben Amorim is yet to add any new signings to his squad despite persistent rumours and speculation, with Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu a known target for the Reds.
In terms of exits, Casemiro is one player who has been tipped to leave Old Trafford before the deadline. The Saudi Pro League has been mentioned as a potential destination for the Brazilian, and now a new club has seemingly entered the race.
According to Sky Sports in Italy, Roma have expressed an interest in signing Casemiro before the transfer window closes. Just like the Premier League, Serie A clubs also have until next Monday to complete their transfer business for the month.
The report claims that Casemiro has been identified as a potential replacement for Leandro Paredes, who has been linked with a move to Boca Juniors in recent days. It has not been stated, though, if any move would be a permanent or loan deal for the United midfielder.
Casemiro has made 22 appearances for United this season, but has featured in just two of the last 10 Premier League fixtures. The Brazilian has also featured just six times since Ruben Amorim was named as the club's head coach back in November.
Rumours around Casemiro's future has been swirling for several weeks, with suggestions that a move to Saudi Arabia may be on the cards. Al Nassr have been reported as showing an interest, but those rumours have quietened down in recent days, despite having former United star and Casemiro's ex-Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
