Marcus Rashford must follow ex-Chelsea duo’s example – clock is ticking for Man United exit
Marcus Rashford has been told to look at Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham's success in Italy after leaving Chelsea, and do anything to secure a move to a European club from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old expressed his readiness for a new challenge in December, after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim. Yet, securing a move for the United academy graduate is proving to be difficult. With strong interest from clubs like Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Barcelona, time is ticking as the transfer window is set to close on Monday for Premier League clubs.
There have been suggestions Rashford may be open to staying at Old Trafford to fight for his position. However, TNT Sports pundit and ex-Chelsea hero Joe Cole believes that might not be the wisest choice, considering Rashford's recent absence from the picture under Ruben Amorim.
Cole, who was speaking on behalf of TNT Sportsto promote watching live sport in pubs, said to Mirror Football: "Marcus needs to reinvigorate his career.
"He is clearly a talented player, he has been a brilliant player for Manchester United and England over many years. It will benefit him. The Premier League is where it is at, it is the toughest league in the world.
