Marcus Rashford makes Manchester United captaincy admission after Bruno Fernandes appointment
Marcus Rashford has insisted he would embrace the responsibility of being Manchester United captain in the future.
Bruno Fernandes was confirmed as United's new captain last week, replacing Harry Maguire. As a homegrown fans' favourite, Rashford is an obvious candidate to be captain later down the line, especially after committing his future to the club with a new five-year deal.
When asked about the best personality he has shared a dressing room with, Rashford revealed that he would be open to captaining United in the future.

"I would say Zlatan [Ibrahimovic is the best personality I've shared a dressing room with], he is always himself," Rashford told The Overlap. "No matter where he goes, how he is with the players is how he is with the fans.
"Or whether he's doing interviews, he's a top guy. I feel like you have to [take responsibility] at a club like Man United.
"Even if you're a young player you have to step up to the occasion and show your skillset and why you play for Man United. It's not easy to play for Man United.
"If you do, you play there for a reason, you're a good footballer. I don't actively think about it but if the opportunity came, I would step into it."
Rashford will hope to make his first start of pre-season when United face Real Madrid in Houston in the early hours of Thursday morning. Before then, a youthful United side will face Wrexham in San Diego.
