How Manchester United should line up vs Borussia Dortmund in pre-season friendly

Manchester United will bring their tour of North America to an end against Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas.

United have played Arsenal, Wrexham and Real Madrid in the States and they have lost their last two matches. Carlo Ancelotti's side won 2-0 in Houston in midweek and this weekend's match against Dortmund is a chance to bounce back.

This summer's fixtures have been used to get the players back to fitness, but Erik ten Hag has discussed the importance of building a winning culture and he was disappointed at his side's lack of cutting edge against Madrid.

Kobbie Mainoo also sustained an injury just a few minutes in that game and he has flown home for treatment.

United might as well play their strongest possible team. Diogo Dalot has a higher ceiling than Aaron Wan-Bissaka and could do with a start, while Marcus Rashford has to go back to the left.

For now, Jadon Sancho is the most logical centre forward and he may relish playing against his former club. With Kobbie Mainoo out, it would be logical to start Casemiro and Mason Mount in midfield. United were not as threatening with Bruno Fernandes on the right against Real Madrid.

This is the final game of United's US tour and they don't play again until the double-header at Old Trafford and in Dublin next week, so it makes sense to play the strongest team against Dortmund.
