Manchester United transfer news LIVE Ronaldo and Eriksen latest as Tyrell Malacia signing confirmed

Manchester United's summer is finally off and rolling after Tyrell Malacia became Erik ten Hag's first signing.

United have confirmed the arrival of the 22-year-old Holland international on a four-year deal, with the option of a further year, after agreeing a fee of €15million (£12.9million), with a potential €2million in further add-ons, with Feyenoord.

Malacia was at Carrington on Sunday and Monday to complete his medical and has signed in time to fly out with the rest of the squad on Friday for the club's pre-season tour.

United are still in negotiations with Barcelona to conclude a deal for Ten Hag's top target this summer, Frenkie de Jong, but Christian Eriksen has agreed a three-year contract and should join as a free agent before the end of the week.

United are also working on a deal to sign Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez, having made an offer of £37million for a player also wanted by Arsenal.

United welcomed back the internationals who had played in June to training on Monday, but Ronaldo was not among them as speculation around his future continues to make headlines.
