Manchester United transfer news LIVE Inter give Andre Onana update as Man Utd set for cash boost

Manchester United made a winning start to their pre-season preparations yesterday with a comfortable victory over Leeds United in Oslo.

Second-half goals from youngsters Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill sealed a routine 2-0 win for the Reds, who deployed a different XI in each half. The first half saw senior stars like Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho start, before boss Erik ten Hag made wholesale changes at the break.

Ten Hag now has just under a week to work with his squad on the training ground before travelling to Edinburgh to face Lyon next Wednesday.

The Dutchman will no doubt be hoping that he will be able to include a new signing or two in the squad that will travel to Scotland and then to the US. United are continuing their search for a striker and remain hopeful of getting a deal over the line for Inter Milan ace Andre Onana.

United are confident of signing the Cameroonian goalkeeper, though a transfer fee is yet to be agreed upon. Onana is also understood to be keen on the move.

Inzaghi said:
