Manchester United 'make approach for Casemiro replacement' Andre and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly made an approach for Fluminense midfielder Andre amid claims they are looking to replace Casemiro.

The former Real Madrid man is currently injured but was a key figure for the Reds in his debut Premier League campaign. However this year, like many of his colleagues, he has been off the boil and United are looking to the future.

According to FootballTransfers, the Reds have made an approach to the Copa Libertadores champions about the 22-year-old defensive midfielder but no proposals have been made yet. This season, Andre was a mainstay for the Brazilian club and made a whopping 54 appearances for his team.

Andre is thought to be on his way out of Fluminense this winter with a switch to Europe in January expected. Currently Fulham are believed to be the other side interested in a move for the midfielder.

Elsewhere, former United goalkeeper David de Gea could be on the verge of finding a new club according to Eldes Marque. The news outlet understands Real Betis are closing in on a deal for the Spaniard who has not played competitive minutes since the FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

De Gea would reportedly 'welcome' a move to Seville and a switch is likely to be agreed in the upcoming January transfer window. The Reds' former shot-stopper is likely to move to Betis as a replacement for Rui Silva who has recently lost his place to Claudio Bravo in their squad. Silva is expected to be sold this winter.
