Manchester United get Casemiro injury boost as training squad for Copenhagen revealed

Sergio Reguilon and Casemiro took part in Manchester United training ahead of Tuesday's game against F.C. Copenhagen.

Reguilon last played against Burnley on September 23 and he's been sidelined with a hamstring injury, but he resumed training last week and he's in contention to play against Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Ten Hag confirmed in his pre-match press conference that a late decision would be made on Reguilon to determine whether he would be available and the player trained with the main group on Monday afternoon.

Casemiro is suspended for the game after receiving a red card against Galatasaray, but his presence in the training group is a boost after he picked up an injury representing Brazil during the international break.

The midfielder missed the Sheffield United game with that knock and he's set to be available for the Manchester derby at the weekend.

Jonny Evans also trained ahead of facing Copenhagen, despite appearing to pick up a knock against Sheffield United. The centre-back has made three starts this season but he's expected to start on the bench on Tuesday night.

Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are still unavailable and didn't take part in the session, although Tyrell Malacia was training on his own and doing lightball work.

The MEN revealed last week has been absent because of a knee injury he sustained last season, which required surgery.

Academy youngsters Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore and Omari Forson took part in the training session. Mainoo has been injured since picking up an injury against Real Madrid in pre-season but he's now close to a return.
