Manchester United get team news boost vs Fulham as Erik ten Hag gives update

Raphael Varane will travel with the Manchester United squad to Fulham but Victor Lindelof is a doubt.

Varane missed the midweek League Cup defeat to Newcastle United through illness but he is fit again and is set to start at Craven Cottage.

Lindelof, who has started in 10 of United's last 12 games, could miss the game as he is unwell.

EXCLUSIVE: Some players starting to doubt Ten Hag

OPINION: United are morphing into their Moyes tweet

"Varane is ready to play," United manager Erik ten Hag said. "So he will be travelling with the squad. Just Victor Lindelof [is a doubt]. Some illness, we have to see if he's ready tomorrow."

Casemiro is out for several weeks with a hamstring injury and United will still be without defenders Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.

United have won five and lost five of their 10 Premier League games and were humbled 3-0 in their last two games at Old Trafford by Manchester City and Newcastle.

With speculation mounting over Ten Hag's position and the November international break looming, Ten Hag is under immense pressure to turn United's season around.

When asked if Fulham was a must-win game, he replied: "I never think in such scenarios I think in we have to win every game, we have to put effort in and I'm sure the players are ready to put that plan in.

"I think the players are hard to beat and in this moment, obviously you have two defeats, we didn't show it. I'm convinced long-term the players will be hard to beat and they know how to do it."
