Manchester United‘s treble-winning side will always be one of the greatest teams ever assembled.

Alex Ferguson’s champion side were simply unplayable at times and are thoroughly deserving of the special place they hold in the pages of football folklore.

It was so nearly a very different story, though, as Bayern Munich looked to be on route to earning a hard-fought win in the Barcelona final.

As stoppage time ticked away, David Beckham whipped in a corner that was eventually poked home by Teddy Sherringham.

Seconds later and the United players were in dreamland as super-sub Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finished to break Munich hearts.

What it meant was immortality for that crop of players had jus achieved an unprecedented treble – and the gravity of the moment was not lost on them.

The players and staff made sure to celebrate the achievement and footage from inside the dressing room shows just how big of a party it was.

The footage start with a poignant moment as Ferguson is seen embracing Sir Bobby Charlton before the atmosphere really starts to pick up.

Even the notorious grouch that is Roy Keane is seen having quite a time of it making merry with the champagne while the likes of Dwight York shows off his moves.

Ferguson would only go on to win one more Champions League title when, in 2008, his side overcame Chelsea in a dramatic penalty shootout.
