M62 crash LIVE with long delays after lanes shut - updates

Queues are building on the M62 following a crash approaching the M60.

Three lanes of traffic were closed on the M62 eastbound between junctions 11 at Birchwood and 12 for the Eccles Interchange.

Emergency services are responding to the collision at the scene.

National Highways says queues are tailing back for around four miles.

A National Highways spokesperson said: "Three lanes (of four) remain closed on the M62 eastbound in Greater Manchester between J11 (Birchwood) and J12 (M60) due to a collision.

"Emergency services are still working at the scene.

"There's still just over four miles of congestion on approach so allow extra time."
