M60 LIVE as all traffic held on motorway after accident

Queues are building on the M60 this afternoon following an accident near Salford.

Traffic is being held on the M60 anticlockwise at J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury) following a collision on Wednesday afternoon (February 26).

It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured in the crash.

Emergency services are making their way to assist at the scene, as all traffic remains stationary.

Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for more information.

All lanes have now been reopened, says Inrix.

The accident has now been moved to the hard shoulder.

Pictures from trafffic cameras show long queues on the M60 following a collision.

There is now congestion to J18 (Simister Island), according to Inrix.
