Napoli transfer, Man United patience, Ruben Amorim system - Rasmus Hojlund future verdict given
Rasmus Hojlund is facing an uncertain long-term future at Manchester United.
The 22-year-old, who joined United from Atalanta for £72million in August 2023, enjoyed a successful debut season at Old Trafford and improved as the season wore on, ending the campaign with 16 goals in 43 matches.
However, Hojlund's form has been dreadful so far this term. The Denmark international has scored just seven times in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
To make matters worse, Hojlund hasn't scored in any of his last 16 matches, with the last time he found net coming against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Thursday, December 12.
It has been a dire season for Hojlund to date and, as The Manchester Evening News reported on Monday, United coaches are now losing patience with the forward over his poor form. One member of Ruben Amorim's staff was particularly scathing of his performance in the 1-0 defeat at Tottenham last Sunday.
As well as this, Hojlund has been linked with a move away from United. According to talkSPORT, Napoli are ready to make a move for the Dane if Sir Jim Ratcliffe is prepared to take a financial hit on the forward. It is claimed that the Serie A club would only be prepared to pay a fraction of the £72m United paid for him.

He has all the materials to become a elite centre forward and I
