M60 crash LIVE updates as traffic STOPPED on motorway

Traffic has been stopped following a crash on the M60.

All vehicles are currently being held on the clockwise carriageway this morning (July 22) following a collision, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service.

Queues are building up approaching the scene.

The incident has taken place near to junction 15 for the M61, at Swinton.

An update from Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M60 clockwise at J15 M61 J1 (Swinton Interchange).

"All traffic stopped at around 08:25."

Further details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.
