M60 crash LIVE updates as three lanes shut and queues form

Queues are building up on part of the M60 following a crash. Three lanes of traffic are closed on the M60 clockwise this afternoon (February 17).

It follows an incident near junction 16 at Clifton. Drivers are facing delays approaching the scene, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.

An update from Inrix said: "Long delays and three lanes closed due to accident on M60 clockwise at J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury). Congestion to M62 J19 (Heywood). Lanes one, two and three (of four)."

National Highways data says queues are tailing back towards junction 12 for the M62 Eccles Interchange. There is also slow traffic on the anticlockwise carriageway heading towards the scene, from junction 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield.
