M60 closed at junction 19 due to police incident - latest updates

The M60 has been closed in both directions due to a police incident at junction 19. Traffic queues are forming as a result of the closure.

All three lanes have been closed on the M60 clockwise at junction 19 and the M60 anticlockwise at junction 19.

A diversion has been put in place via the exit and entry slip roads. National Highways says the event is expected to clear and normal traffic conditions are likely to resume between 6.15am and 6.30am.

An update from traffic monitoring service Inrix at 4.54am said: "M60 in both directions closed, queuing traffic due to police incident at J19 A576 Middleton Road (Heaton Park Three Arrows Roundabout).

"Both sides closed as of 04:45. Incident on the anti-clockwise is on going as of 04:30. Diversion - via the exit and entry slip roads."
