Busy junction in Oldham closed due to 'police-led incident' - latest updates
A busy junction in Oldham has been closed as a result of what is being described as "a police-led incident". The junction between the A669 Middleton Road and Featherstall Road is expected to be closed "for the next few hours".
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) says the closure has been caused by a "police-led incident". Unconfirmed reports from the scene suggest a two-vehicle collision took place. TfGM says local buses are being diverted. Motorists are also being advised to seek alternative routes as the closure is expected to be in place for the next few hours.
A tweet from TfGM at 10.03pm on Sunday said: "A669 Middleton Road / Featherstall Road, Oldham. Junction closed due to a police-led incident. Local buses are on diversion. Use an alternative route - roads expected to be closed for the next few hours."
