M60 clockwise closed between J20 and J21 due to police incident - latest updates

The M60 clockwise has been shut between J20 (Blackley) and J21 (Chadderton) due to a police incident. Highways England cameras showed queues of traffic building on the carriageway. The section of road has been closed since around 1:45am this morning.

National Highways reported via Twitter that the closure is due to an ongoing North West Motorway Police-led incident. North West Ambulance Service are also in attendance.

National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene assisting with traffic management. Diverted traffic should follow the solid diamond symbol.
